Until 1973, the «Swiss Family Researchers» appeared four to six times per year. This was replaced in 1974 by the official publications «Newsletter» and the «Yearbook".

The Yearbook contains a series of articles in the field of family research. In addition to German contributions it also has French and Italian. Since 1995, the main contributions are accompanied by German and French summaries.

The Newsletter is a publication of the SGS that informs three times a year about events and changes in the society.

• In the section "Changes in Membership" interested genealogists can find out which family names new members are researching or have already been researched.
• For the Annual General Meeting in the spring and the fall meeting in late October an invitation is  published with the agenda and program. This year, so that the annual report and auditors report do not have to be read at the meetings, we will publish them promptly with the financial statements.
• In the section news circle, we report on contributions from a selection of European genealogy magazines. Further we learn with short book reviews of the new additions to our library.
